I have a big crack in the cement on top of my porch. Can the broken bricks underneath be fixed & just the cement part of my porch patched?

It might be repairable that way, but I’d be careful about just patching the crack on top. If you already have broken bricks underneath, there’s a good chance water has been getting through that cracked concrete and causing damage below it.
The important thing is figuring out how bad the damage is before spending money on a patch. If the concrete is still solid and the damage is limited, we may be able to replace the damaged bricks and repair the cracked area. But if the concrete on top is failing, patching it could end up being a temporary fix and you’ll be dealing with the same problem again.
I’d have the entire porch looked at first and then decide what actually needs to be repaired.
