Why do the bricks near the bottom of my house look rough and chipped compared to the rest?
Answer
We see this all the time. Weโve done a lot of brick repairs in Rochester Hills.
Those bottom bricks take the most wear. Theyโre constantly pulling in moisture from the ground and getting hit with splash from rain and snow. Over time, that breaks down the face of the brick and it starts to chip and flake.
In most cases, itโs just those lower rows. We remove the damaged bricks, match them, and replace them so it blends back in with the rest of the wall and holds up the way it should.
